Avalanche Skills Training
Canada's premier avalanche safety school—learn rescue skills, avalanche terrain recognition and safe backcountry travel from our certified instructors.
Backcountry Skiing
Join our ACMG guides on a safe and fun backcountry ski trip and experience some of the best powder runs, or on a hut-to-hut ski tour on the Wapta Traverse.
Climbing / Bouldering
We have climbing and bouldering courses for all skill levels and ages. Our experienced instructors teach skills programs on our walls year-round.
Crevasse Rescue
Glacier travel can be tricky. Learn various crevasse rescue techniques on our climbing wall from ACMG guides, then practice them in an outdoor setting.
Cross-Country Skiing
Beginner to advanced cross-country ski lessons will give you the skills to explore groomed trails in Kananaskis for years to come. Enjoy winter again!
Ice Climbing
Climb a frozen waterfall! Our experienced ACMG guides teach beginner to advanced skills for you to safely enjoy classic Rocky Mountain ice climbs.
Whitewater Kayaking
Learn off-season skills in our 'warmer-than-the-river' pool. We have intro classes, roll clinics and open rec pool times so that you can put those skills into practice.
Leadership / Navigation
Learn to navigate with maps, compass and gps. Then get the outdoor leadership skills to take hikers into low-risk terrain. Certification is offered through the Outdoor Council of Canada.
Repair and Tuning
Tune-up every part on your bike, skis or board. Expert mechanics and technicians teach repairs and maintenance in our hands-on, workshop-based courses.
Snowshoeing
Try snowshoeing in the Rocky Mountains on a guided day hike or multi-day series. Choose from easy to challenging trips which include snowshoe rentals.
Wilderness First Aid
Beginner to advanced outdoor medic and survival courses run in conjunction with Rocky Mountain Adventure Medicine.
